90 FAIRLIE CONDOMINIUMS ARE A TEN STORY MID-RISE BUILDING BUILDING. IT IS LOCATED IN THE HEART OF THE FAIRLIE-POPLAR HISTORIC DISTRICT AT THE THE CORNER OF FAIRLIE & POPLAR STREETS IN DOWNTOWN ATLANTA. 

BUILT IN 1920 AS A THREE STORY BUILDING, IT WAS BUILT AS THE RETAIL CREDIT COMPANY HOME OFFICE  (NOW CALLED EQUIFAX).  SIX ADDITIONAL FLOORS WERE ADDED IN 1930 FOR THE EXPANDING COMPANY AND IT WAS THE FIRST COMPLETLY AIR-CONDITIONED "HIGH-RISE" BUILDING IN ATLANTA.  IT BECAME THE COASTAL STATE INSURANCE FROM 1954 TO 1971, THEN THE GEORGIA CASUALTY AND SURETY COMPANY FROM 1971-75.   IT WAS THEN SOLD BY 1979 TO A PRIVATE OWNER.  IN 1980, THE BUILDING WAS PLACED IN THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORICAL PLACES.  

THE BUILDING WAS CONVERTED TO CONDOS IN 2000, WHERE A PARTIAL 10TH FLOOR WAS CONSTRUCTED. THE BUILDING ALSO HOUSES 3,600 SQUARE FEET COMMERCIAL SPACE ON THE FIRST FLOOR.
